Well, what do you know, Faust has been killed again by her eternal tormentor, It. This time she wakes up in a hospital to a foster family looking to take her into their home. As she eases into life as a regular teenager, she starts going to school for the first time in centuries. And while she's finally able to make friends, she’s still constantly seeking a way to get her mortality back.

Unable to keep it to herself anymore, she finally reveals the secret of her immortality to one of her friends and they start a partnership as vigilantes, punishing people who have brought pain to the lives of others in her community. After a series of traumatic events, she realizes that she can't pretend to be just another mortal. She gained her immortality by giving up her chance at a normal life. To gain her mortality back something of that same value must be lost. But what, or who, does she have left to lose?
